Beyond the Break is a body of work created in 2025, exploring destruction not as an end, but as the beginning of transformation. The series consists of sculptural vessels that have been intentionally broken and painstakingly reconstructed, allowing fracture itself to become an essential part of the work. Drawing on the philosophy of kintsugi while employing contemporary materials and visual language, the series shifts the focus away from restoration toward reinvention. The repaired seams do not attempt to conceal damage; instead, they celebrate rupture as a record of experience, resilience, and change. Each fracture is irreversible, making every object impossible to replicate. Once broken, each piece follows its own unpredictable path, resulting in a form that could never be designed or reproduced intentionally. Chance becomes a collaborator in the creative process, transforming loss into uniqueness. Beyond the Break reflects on vulnerability as a source of strength and on imperfection as a form of beauty. Rather than returning to what once existed, the objects embrace a new identity—one shaped by rupture, memory, and repair. Each work is entirely handmade and one of a kind.
